Star Wars: Force Arena is a free-to-play mobile MOBA game in which you lead armies of Imperial or Rebel forces in battle against other players. It's similar to other games such as Clash Royale, but adds leader characters who you control directly, giving you a little more direct involvement.
Marshaling your forces
If you've played other mobile MOBAs, you'll find a lot that is familiar about Star Wars: Force Arena. Its 3D graphics are slickly produced, and the controls that let you pan around the battlefield are simple and easy to use. If you're a Star Wars fan, it's a thrill to command familiar characters like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker or Boba Fett in battle. In addition to characters from the classic films, there are also more recent additions, like Kanan and Ezra from the Rebels TV show. Force building is done via a card-deck mechanic, and it's here that the game's revenue model comes in. Like all free-to-play games, the reliance on in-app purchases can be a little annoying, but if you're a fan of the genre you're used to it by now.
Wars not make one great
Star Wars: Force Arena is a simple strategy game with beloved characters, it has enough new ideas to keep it fresh and entertaining for a while. In particular, exploring the different leader characters and their combinations of abilities is enjoyable and rewarding.
